I just figured out that I have been writing blogs for about 10 years and calling them emails. You know, making a list of friends and sending a few sentences from the heart. Or sharing ideas, dreams or even a quote from a great book. So, I’ve been blogging. Who knew?
Now I have a website and can post these ideas whenever I want. But I have so many questions.
Who will read my blog? Will anyone like me?
What shall I write about? Will I sound silly? Where to start?
I don’t have the answers yet.
Some of you met me in person and some of you randomly found me on the internet. However you got here I am forever grateful that you are taking the time to read this inaugural blog post. I promise to be more profound in future writings.
But, go back for a minute. Let’s focus on that ‘grateful ‘ thing. Yes, I am grateful. Every day. Let this be the first thing that I teach you. Allow gratefulness to be your daily spiritual practice.
Here are a few things on the internet concerning gratitude:
- it is defined as an emotion expressing thankfulness for the goodness in your life
- it is a feeling of thankful appreciation for what you have-tangible and intangible
There’s more. Studies reveal that people who practice gratitude are happier, sleep better and have stronger immune systems. Look it up for yourself if you like researching stuff.
Let this be your new normal, a daily gratitude practice.
It sounds so basic, so simple, right? Agreed.
And… deep gratitude comes from within. Sigh……
So, try this. Write down 3 things you are grateful for. Share it with a friend.
That’s it. With deep gratitude, Linda
